hike. ski. swim. eat. explore.

Get your woods on. Get your snow on. Get your giant pancake breakfast on. Go for a drive and stuff your rental car with antiques and farmers market finds. People have been coming to the Catskills to vacation for so many years for good reason!

We are smack in the middle of the Catskills Park, surrounded by protected State land. Just two miles from the Inn are some of the best trails around: Hunter Mountain Fire Tower and the John Robb Lean-To, Diamond Notch Falls, West Kill Mountain... We also recommend Giant Ledge, Overlook Mountain, Kaaterskills Falls, Artist's Rock, and Colgate Lake all between twenty to forty minutes from us. Check out NYNJ Trail Conference for maps, the Catskills 3500 Club for trail tips and group hikes, and hit up Gray Fox Guiding if you'd like a guided trip!

eating and Drinking

With so many farms in the area, it's no surprise there are loads of great places to eat! Some of our faves are Brushland Eating House, Phoenicia DinerPeekamoose, Table on Ten, Gaskins, and Mama's Boy Burgers. Looking for a sip of something? Head to Brunette Wine Bar, Wayside Cider's Tap Room, Union Grove Distillery and the just-opened West Kill Brewing literally right next door! Wanna eat, drink, AND visit some farms? Book with Table to Farm Tours!

Snow Sports

Spruceton Inn is a great place for a ski or snowboarding trip with Hunter Mountain and Belleayre both just twenty-five minutes away and Windham and Plattekill both thirty-five. There's also the Mountain Trails Cross Country Ski Center, not to mention all the State Land in our literal backyard that's perfect for snow-shoeing.

road tripping

We might be five miles down a seven mile dead end road, but we're easy driving distance to loads of quaint towns just waiting for you explore them: Phoenicia, Margaretville, Andes, Roxbury, Tannersville, Woodstock...
